Energy Management System EnergyPilot

We previously marketed our energy management software as microSCOPE. Now it is called EnergyPilot.

EnergyPilot supports the optimization and scheduling of decentralized systems, storage facilities and loads.  We utilize EnergyPilot for simulations as well as in operations.

Based on schedule optimization and operational planning with EnergyPilot, you are provided with system schedules, operational management strategies and long-term evaluations.

With the objective function of profit maximization or cost minimization based on mixed-integer linear optimization (MILP), the possibilities and limitations of each plant in your system can be taken into account.

C/Sells - Flexibility potential in the electricity and heating sectors

The C/sells project includes the Kirchhain-Stausebach demonstration cell. Here, the existing biomass center in the EAM grid area is to be expanded into an intelligent energy system. With EnergyPilot, Fraunhofer IEE is developing an energy management system for the plants to optimize operation on electricity markets, taking into account flexibility in the electricity and heating sectors.

North German energy transition project (New 4.0)

In the New 4.0 project, Fraunhofer IEE is using microSCOPE for the simulative deployment optimization of a large number of plant portfolios on current spot markets and new regional smart markets in order to examine flexibility potentials and options.

DiTour-EE

DiTour-EE is developing an ICT system platform that connects and optimizes the mobility needs of guests and hotel-owned vehicles with the property's energy management. Based on charging process bookings via tablet PC, EnergyPilot optimizes the charging process of electric cars parked at a hotel. This enables the economical use of electric cars in the tourism industry. The overall system is being tested in 12 hotels in Thuringia, each with three charging stations and five rooms equipped with tablet PCs.

Projekt Energy Management Building Set (EMBS)

The Energy Management Building Set project is looking at the techno-economic dimensioning of decentralized generator-storage systems and cross-sector energy management in properties. microSCOPE is used for the integrated planning and combination of future storage systems and portfolio designs. In the course of the project, prototyping and validation of the cross-sector energy management applications for flexibilizing end customer consumption in properties will be conducted.
