Focus

Optimization of the turbine control, basic operational control and control functionality, control for load reduction, platform sensor systems.

Objectives

Aim of the project is the development of an integrated system for the cost efficient utilization of tidal current energy. Compared to competing concepts this system will have significantly reduced requirements regarding operation, installation, maintenance and investment cost. This is to be achieved through the realization of a novel semi-submersible platform in combination with an innovative turbine concept.
