The aim of the study is to provide a holistic view of potential plant concepts for combining biogas and power-to-gas plants, including a technical and economic assessment. In particular, the technical feasibility and operation of the corresponding plant combination and the resulting investment, operating, and gas production costs will be examined.
Another focus of the project regards the analysis and development of potential business models for renewable gases (SNG and biomethane). To this end, the costs of gas supply resulting from the various concepts are taken into account, considering the utilization channels, market requirements and volumes for various marketing channels, as well as customer preferences, achievable revenues, and possible marketing strategies. This is supplemented by an assessment of the regulatory framework and obstacles.
