In 2020, one million electric vehicles shall be placed on the market in germany. In this context, the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi) funds the project »eNterop« since July 2012.

The goal of this project is to guarantee an interoperable communication between electric vehicle and charging infrastructure – an important prerequisite for a broad acceptance of electromobilty.

Within the project, automatable test sequences will be realized in software and hardware that assess the interoperability of system components.

Furthermore, an open reference platform will be developed, to especially ease market access for small and medium enterprises.

The project has a duration of two years and a financial volume of 4.6 million euro, half of which is funded by the BMWi and the involved industry partners.
